I believe that the therapeutic relationship offers a unique context for emotional understanding to occur. When we find ourselves in the presence of a non-judgmental, empathically attuned person, we can begin to feel safe enough to unfold and sort through our most complex experiences and painful emotions with the hope that they are rendered more tolerable and gradually integrated.
My clinical experience and training have primarily included working with people struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, complex trauma, relationship distress, and characterological disorders. I enjoy working with people from a variety of backgrounds and am an LGBTQIA affirming therapist.
